This guide is born from a desire to show Peru and develop management tools for fostering the the world that the kosñipata District, located in Manu Biosphere Reserve in the Cusco region, has tourist attractions that if well-managed can become an economic alternative that can generate benefits for local residents through promoting ecosystem services without harming the ecosystems' natural processes Manu Trip

Since the updating of Manu Biosphere Reserve in 2017, 

tourism in the area has been defined as one of the cornerstones of its development; however, its significant potential for ecotourism is still only understood as being solely due to Jungle Manu National Park, both domestically and amongst the international community. This situation, identified by the Wildlife Manu Biosphere Reserve Coordinating Committee and its authorities, gave rise to the prioritization of the promotion and enhancement of ecotourism in the jungle trips  Kosñipata Valley Manu National Park,  Manu Jungle Amazon Journeys, the Native Community of Queros and the Kosñipata-Manu Association Tourist Service Providers, a proposal was made to development of ecotourism as a strategy for conserving nature in the Vicanota Mountain

Range Conservation Corridor (PER 44). This Hike a Key Biodiversity Area located within the Manu Jungle Tropical Andes Hotspot with extremely high level of biodiversity, specifically in the Kosñipata

District, between Manu National Park and the Amarakaeri Communal Reserve. The work initially consisted of gathering all of the necessary information on tourist attractions, service providers, and visitor profiles, among others. But as the project progressed, it became necessary to advertise the true value of the nature this district contains; as such, the present guide has become an ally for visitors wishing to learn about and explore the Kosñipata Valley.

The guide merges the technical studies

performed in the project 'Consolidation of Tourism as a Strategy for Conserving the Biodiversity of the Kosñipata Valley'- funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) - and converts them into information that is more accessible for visitors. It aims to connect visitors interests with the options offered by this Cusco district, both in terms of tourist attractions as well as services that complement and give value to them and facilitate their visits.this area nature manu jungle.

 Kosñipata Manu Jungle to Cloud Forest  .

is one of six districts in the province of Poucartambo, located in the Cusco region. This place presents a wide variety of ecosystems, from the puna [very dry, high-elevation montane grassland] in the Açjanaco Pass, at an altitude of about 4,000 meters, to the rainforest in the Atalaya Port at 490 meters; it is one of the most important conserved biological transects in South America. The route from where Kosñipata starts is unique among the valleys of the Cordillera Oriental [Eastern Mountain Range] of the Andes jungle trips , where it is possible to descend the altitudinal gradient in a mere four hours, an experience that cannot be hand in many places around the world.
